With a cellular connection, the BlueBoat can operate remotely while you control and monitor it from hundreds of miles away. Just like your cell phone, the modem connects to mobile networks using 4G LTE, so the BlueBoat can stay online anywhere with cellular coverage.
The cellular connection is best suited for low-bandwidth tasks like viewing telemetry, monitoring and updating missions, or issuing commands. It’s not ideal for high-bandwidth devices or payloads due to potential high data costs and lower connection speed.
